Press Releases

March 1st, 2017 - Kickstarter launches!
"After two successful crowdfunding campaigns, the Toronto Comics Anthology is launching a new Kickstarter for Volume 4, called “Toronto Comics: Yonge at Heart”. This 210-page book features 21 new stories set in and about Toronto, all created by local comic writers and artists. " ( cont'd )

History

2017: Yonge At Heart
This full-colour anthology is ambitious and jammed full of incredible creators. This is our first project in colour, and is about taking our anthology project to the next level. The stories are great, the talent fierce, and we're really excited to share these unique and heartfelt stories with you!

2016: Volume 3
This 300 page mammoth was a who's who of upcoming TO talent, and we saw both the production quality and audience grow enormously from the previous projects. Our Kickstarter successfully funded for 12.4k CDN, and we launched at TCAF 2016.

2015: Volume 2
We decided to push forward with a second book, and tested crowdfunding through Kickstarter to help grow the project. It was an enormous success, earning 1440% of our goal, and we launched the book at TCAF 2015.

2014: Volume 1
Students from Ty Templeton's Comicbook Bootcamp decided to put our education to use, and started making comics. Writers covered print costs, while artists donated their work. Our first book was 90 pages long, and received an enthusiastic response at Toronto comic conventions.
